Why we start here
Every print in Marginalia carries a note in the margin. Print one carries the first: the idea that a picture is a beginning, not a full stop — that what surrounds a photograph often matters as much as the photograph itself.
Thirty-three isn't incidental. It's a number that meant something long before we ever pointed a lens at it — an age, a turn in a life, a marker people have leaned on for centuries. We're borrowing that weight on purpose: thirty-three prints, one for every day it takes to say something slowly.
