SOUL OF KL

One of my favourite street photography photos I have taken to date.
I was wandering through the backstreets near Petaling Night Market, in the heart of Malaysia's bustling capital city after straying from the Petaling Night Market. I stumbled upon a narrow alleyway to the back of restaurants where people were barbecuing over repurposed oil barrels, something you would see in of 'Parts Unknown.' 

Whilst walking I saw a group of workers cleaning up after a nights work, The lopsided light and movement around the cart looked a perfect scene, but as I snapped the photo the man in the middle looked up from his phone at the perfect moment, and this was the result. He could have been texting his missus, or checking his acca, even catching up on the GC - but the eye contact with the camera is most definitely giving main character.
